Besides filming a commercial for Doritos (yup, ya girl was in a commercial and I can not wait to share it with you because it is hilarious), one of the dreaded things in the world happened to me. I dropped my precious iPhone 6 in a bowl of water. YIKES! Thankfully I was able to get a new phone because a brick just isn't as valuable to me as being accessible to you guys and keeping up with the hustle.
What an experience it was! I planned to snap pics and tweet and share all over social media through the entire day but of course that didn't happen because... well... I was careless and did something stupid. And after the cold sweats subsided and I realized there was absolutely nothing I could do about it, I decided to chill... take a much needed, albeit forced, day off. It. Was. Lovely! No email dings to alert me of pending disaster... no trills to tell me my kids wanted pizza again while I was off galavanting into unchartered territories of my own... no Periscope alerts saying so in so wants me to watch their video (which, I'm just getting into Periscope and think I've found my new love... now I just need to figure out how to post a video lol)... it was quiet on the set, for real. And I loved it! Late in the afternoon, one of the other actors commented that I was having a really good attitude about the whole thing because he would have been climbing the walls. Well, I told him, at first, I was , believe me! But then I realized, while sitting there in green room, drinking that 4 hour old cup of coffee and listening to my stomach growl because I was rushing and didn't have time to eat before I got there... what good would griping about it do? What would a bad attitude possibly accomplish? I was having a ball... watching the other actors make the scene come alive and laughing as the slates were announced after every blooper reel was finally brought back under control. Sure, it would have been awesome to have taken some pictures and shared all that wonderfulness with the world as it was happening... but sometimes, the little things... like being aware of what was going on around me instead of being buried in my phone playing Words with Friends to pass the down time... sometimes those tiny details are what makes life absolutely great. And in spite of it all... I had a GREAT day! ❤️ P.S. Once the commercial is done, I'll post links to it. It's going to be hilarious and we could use all the votes we can get for our Doritos submission! Superbowl, here we come!!!
